Pedal Cinema – Southampton Uni 2021

Along with V3 Power, we provided an 8 bike pedal powered cinema for an event at Southampton University.

We have built a new pedal control box which simplifies set-up and worked really well. We have displays to show the output power from each cyclist. And the 6o or so people managed to keep pedalling for over 2 hours and provided 2kWh to our system to power the projector and inflatable screen.

Bespoke Gear have been building interactive pedal-power systems for over 15 years. Doing events and selling equipment to a wide variety of customers in that time we have learnt what works. We design and build high-quality, robust pedal-powered equipment and bespoke, interesting and interactive displays. Renewable Energy Innovation

Our sister business, Renewable Energy Innovation, works on innovative electrical systems for renewable energy projects. It was through working on renewable enegry projects that Bespoke Gear was started. We needed interesting and interactive displays to explain power and energy to a wide range of people. Hence our first pedal power system was born.
